Baramulla, Nov 15 ; A seminar on mobile addiction among students was held at Women’s College in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
As per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, the seminar was organized by The Varmul Post newspaper in collaboration with KDen channel.
The event was aimed to address the influence of mobile phones on the student community and find solutions and strategies to tackle this issue.
On the occasion students from various institutions in Baramulla district shared insights on mobile addiction, while speakers from health, police, and other civil departments provided valuable information on this topic. The speakers discussed both the advantages and dangers of mobile phones among students.
During the seminar, participants actively engaged in conversations about potential solutions and strategies to address the challenges posed by mobile phones in the student community.
Talking to Kashmir Despatch, the Editor-In-chief of Varmul Post, Muneeb ul Haq, emphasized that addiction is a concern regardless of who is affected by it. He acknowledged that our society has various addictions, and work is being done on all fronts to address them. However, today’s focus was on mobile addiction among students, which is a growing concern. It is evident that students are constantly using their phones even during meal times, prompting the need for this event.
He said the objective of the event was to convey a message through child psychologists and medical experts, with the hope of creating a stronger impact and achieving positive outcomes.
