Baramulla, June 11 : Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Friday visited the fire victims of Baramulla and assured every sort of support to rehabilitate the fire victims.
Baseer Ahmad Khan expressed sympathy with the fire victims of Baramulla where an overnight blaze damaged 13 houses, renders 31 families homeless.
“I will do whatever is possible for the rehabilitation of the fire victims. I assure the fire victims of Baramulla that we will provide every sort of help to them ” Baseer Khan said as per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent.
Asked if they the government can rehabilitate the Baramulla fire victims state on state land, Baseer Khan replied that UT administration will do everything possible for the fire victims.
Meanwhile, the fire affected families were also provided checks @ Rs 5000 as an immediate compensation by Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor Baseer Ahmad Khan.
In the overnight blaze at sweeper Colony, Noorbagh area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, 13 houses were gutted and 31 families were rendered homeless.
The inferno engulfed Sweeper Colony, Noorbagh at around 9:30 pm on Thursday night which spread like a bushfire. However there was no loss of life reported in the incident.
