Srinagar, Sep 27: A Blood donation Camp was organised at Blood Bank, GMC Baramulla jointly by Army Camp Uplona and GMC, Baramulla under the Aegis of Haiderbeg Military Garrison.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch army said the camp was inaugurated by Dr Syed Maqsood, Med Superintendent, and GMC Baramulla. The Camp witnessed a massive turnout of civilians and Army persons who stood for the cause of “Give Blood Save Life”. Maintaining the COVID-19 protocols for Blood donation, all the donors were initially tested for COVID-19 virus by RAT testing under the arrangements of Indian Army. The volunteers post blood donations were served with refreshments.
A total of around 35 units of blood were donated to the Govt Medical College. Speaking on the event, one of the donors from Village Delina thanked the organisers for planning such an event which contributes towards the noble cause of humanity and society building the statement reads.
