Sopore, Nov 27: The Army’s 22 Rashtriya Rifles conducted a medical camp at Pazapora village in north Kashmir’s Sopore town to provide essential health services to residents of rural areas.
Approximately 1,000 people from various villages in the Zaingeer belt, including children and the elderly, visited the camp to consult with doctors. Their medical needs were addressed, and attendees received free medical advice and medications.
Teams of Army doctors collaborated with the Civil Health Department to treat patients from different areas that lack adequate medical facilities. Army doctors also educated the general public on the prevention of various lifestyle diseases.
The medical camp received an overwhelming response from locals in nearby villages. Villagers expressed appreciation for the Indian Army’s efforts to provide basic health services in remote areas, emphasizing that more such camps should be organized regularly.
They remarked that the medical camp served as a hub for fostering interaction, harmony, and trust between the Army and the local community.
On this occasion, Second-in-Command of 22 RR and Officer in Charge Sameer Malik were present as chief guests.
