Srinagar, Nov 09: Chairman of Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration and President National Conference, Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Monday accusing the BJP of “dividing the communities.

As per Kashmir Despatch, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister said that BJP wants to isolate Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs & Christians from each other. He said we believe in India of Mahatma Gandhi – where everyone is equal.

The NC president said that we’re not a gang but an alliance of parties and the parties under the banner of PAGD shall contest polls on their own symbols but there will be only one candidate of the alliance in each segment.

People’s Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti earlier in the day talking to media persons at her party office in Jammu said that the youth in the Kashmir Valley have no option left but to pick up arms.

The former J&K chief minister alleged this was happening because the voice of the people was being suppressed.

“Because you have suppressed the voice, people don’t have an option left. A youth thinks he can either go to jail or pick up arms. So he thinks he better to pick up arms and die. Because you don’t allow people to speak,” she stated.
