Srinagar, Nov 09: Fruit growers, dealers across Kashmir valley on Monday staged a protest against the authorities for allegedly stopping their fruit-laden trucks along the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
As per Kashmir Despatch reads, hundreds of fruit growers, dealers, transporters and buyers participating in the said protest under the banner of Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers Cum Dealers Union.
The protesters said that they are suffering heavy losses due to the alleged stoppage of fruit-laden trucks along the highway.
The protesters urged Lieutenant Governor led the administration to look into the matter and resolve their issue once for all. They also requested traffic authorities and civil administration to regularize the traffic and allow these trucks to travel in their respective destinations on daily basis.
