Sopore, Nov 09: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Javid Ahmad Dar, stated that while challenges lie ahead, the government is committed to tackling these obstacles for the betterment and welfare of the people.
Addressing a gathering at Asia’s second-largest fruit market, Minister Javid Dar as per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, reassured the public that they should not feel disheartened, as this is their government, and those in positions of power are their own people. “Let us not lose hope; this is just the beginning, and we must wait for a brighter future,” he said.
He emphasized that overcoming challenges is a priority, stating, “We will face all challenges for the welfare of our people.”
Regarding Asia’s second-largest fruit market, Minister Javid Dar remarked that it serves not only North Kashmir but all of Jammu and Kashmir. “The people involved in business here are all part of us,” he added. He remarked, “This market is an important part of our nation, and 80 percent of people are connected to this fruit mandi.”
However, he acknowledged that not enough progress has been made and that significant work needs to be done. He reassured the gathering, “The government is yours; the people in authority are your own.”
He warned that anyone who creates obstacles to the development of this fruit mandi will not be tolerated. He announced that a ₹9 crore project will be restored soon, and work will commence for the development of the fruit mandi.
Minister Dar pointed out that previous efforts had not resulted in visible improvements, but he assured the public that this fruit mandi would now be a priority for development.
He urged everyone to unite and work together for the betterment of the fruit mandi, stating that the involvement of some individuals had previously hindered its progress, but now collective effort is essential.
