‘India Post’ Flags off Vehicles To Facilitate Mail Delivery for Uri and Kupwara

Baramulla, May 27 : In a bid to facilitate faster mail delivery, Post Department of India, India Post, division Baramulla, Friday flagged off postal vehicles to the post offices in areas of frontier north Kashmir’s Baramulla and Kupwara districts.

Superintendent Post Offices North Kashmir SK Choug in the presence of Assistant Superintendent Post Office Headquarters Ashfaq Ahmed Ganai flagged off the vehicles. The vehicles will routinely deliver mail in areas including Uri, Boniyar Trehgam and Sogam Lolab.

SK Choug told GNS that this was a long standing demand of the people of remote areas of Baramulla and Kupwara district which was met by the department today. “The department is trying its best to ensure that people do not face any difficulties”, Choug said.

Assistant Superintendent Headquarters Ashfaq Ahmad Ganai in the meantime told GNS that the purpose of delivering mail in these remote areas of Kupwara district by postal vehicle is to reach the people in less time.

“With the initiation of services, people of the areas can now easily do speed post and other work”, he said adding the postal department is trying to ensure the customers avail all possible benefits through the services being provided to them. (GNS)
