JK reports fresh 41 COVID deaths

Srinagar, May 13 : The union territory of Jammu and Kashmir has reported 41 fresh Covid-19 deaths since the last night, taking the total number of deaths related to the deadly virus to 2,953.

An official said that the patients who died include 92-year-old man from Batipora, 45-year-old man from Hawal, 75-year-old female from Nishat, 60-year-old man from Rajouri Kadal, 75-year-old man from Shivpora, 70-year-old man from Sekidafar, 45-year-old woman from Batamaloo, 60-year-old woman from Bemina, 54-year-old woman from Harnag Anantnag, 50-year-old man from Nagibal, 55-year-old woman from Kangan Ganderbal, 45-year-old woman from Pampore, 70-year-old woman from Natipora, 60-year-old man from Zainakadal, 68-year-old woman from Sadribal, 70-year-old man from Rainawari, 62-year-old man from Yaripora Kulgam, one each from Sopore and Bandipora and 22 fatalities from Jammu division.

He said that five deaths were reported at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura, 2 at JLNM Hospital Rainawari, while one death was reported at Chest Disease Hospital Dalgate since the last night.

The official said that two deaths were reported each from JVC Bemina and SDH Sopore, one from GMC Anantnag, while six from SMHS Hospital Srinagar since the last night.

He said that 22 COVID-19 related deaths were reported from Jammu division since the last night.

With 41 fresh deaths, the death toll related to Covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir has climbed to 2,953, which includes 1,319 from Jammu division and 1,634 from Kashmir division—(KNO)
