JKReTTF appeals LG administration for cancellation of IMPACT training

SRINAGAR, Sep 16: The Jammu Kashmir Rehabar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKRETTF) has termed IMPACT training programme started by the school education department in Jammu and Kashmir for a particular section of teachers as a discriminatory step.

According to a press releases issued here the JKRETTF said that if this training is to meant for to train the teachers and update them with the latest education teaching techniques but on the other hand, it is restricted to a particular class of teachers i:e teacher grade II and III.


Forum chairman FA Tantray said that a special class has been selected for this IMPACT training by the department in which most of the teachers are postgraduate, graduate with B.Ed and M.ed and On the other hand, undergraduate and non-B.Ed teachers posted on general line pattern have not been included in the training which clearly looks a discrimination with a particular class of the teachers.


Forum chairman more said that they always welcomes any training course – with new and innovative teaching methods but selective approach is not fruitful for students.
He said that teachers are being forced by Zeo,s and the DIET officials to open their schools and start class work for evaluation/assessment and grading regarding this IMPACT training where as government has already closed all the schools during the global covid- 19 pandemic.


Forum appealed to honourable LG of JKUT ,Chief secretary and it’s administration to intervene and close this training course, which is currently being conducted for a particular class of teachers during this pandemic.


They said that it is also threat for the students community and where from they arrange the students without the orders of opening of schools by the government.


They said that they are ready for this training after the reopening of the school but all the teachers should be included in it otherwise it is being interpreted as an exaggeration with a particular section of the teachers which is unbearable.
