JAMMU, Nov 28: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha recently hosted a delightful ‘High Tea’ in honor of the esteemed international players participating in the Legends League Cricket matches, held at the Raj Bhawan. During engaging conversations with the cricketers, the Lt. Governor expressed immense pride for the entire Union Territory of Jammu Kashmir as it eagerly embraced the matches taking place at MA Stadium.
“This marks a significant milestone, being the first major international Cricket event for the UT in several decades, heralding a new era of sports for Jammu Kashmir,” he remarked. Sinha emphasized that these matches, showcasing international cricket stars, would not only elevate the UT’s proficiency in organizing global sporting events but also foster a robust sports culture, particularly among the youth.
Over the forthcoming three days, Jammu Kashmir is poised to celebrate and honor sporting excellence, acknowledging the dedication and commitment displayed by the cricketers on the field. The players, in turn, will have the opportunity to experience the warm hospitality and immerse themselves in the incredible culture of J&K during their stay.
