Militant associate held in Baramulla

Srinagar, May 19 : Police on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended one militant associate (OGW) in Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Police in a statement said that, today at about 11am a joint naka was established by SOG Kreeri, 29 RR, 176 BN CRPF at Karewa crossing Kreeri.

During naka checking, one person while seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot who was tactfully apprehended by the efforts of Naka party. From his possession one Chinese pistol, one pistol magazine, 08 pistol rounds and a matrix sheet were recovered.

Police statement further said that, on investigation he revealed his identity as Waseem raja@jaana s/o Gh Hassan para r/o Takia Taapar and works as OGW/recruiter of HM.

In this regard, FIR no. 43/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in p/s Kreeri and investigation taken up.
