Jammu witnessing widening gap between public & administration in absence of elected Govt
JAMMU, Sept 16: In view of failure of the administration to redress public issues, Apni Party Provincial President Women Wing Namrta Sharma has appealed to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to hold public darbars to restore confidence among the people.
“There is anger among the people because bureaucrats have become unapproachable and the issues of public concern remain unsolved. The situation has not changed from last one year. The governance is missing on ground,” said Apni Party, Provincial President, Namrta Sharma.
Sharma was speaking before the group of women who joined Apni Party in presence of Provincial President Jammu, Manjit Singh, Aijaz Kazmi, Abhay Bakaya, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, Vaibhav Mattoo, Gourav Kapoor and other leaders.
The grievance redressal mechanism has failed completely, Sharma alleged. She said that the Lt Governor should hold public darbar in all the districts including Jammu City, its peripheral areas for the issues of locals.
Meanwhile, Sharma said that the gap between people and administration has widened during the last one year in absence of an elected Government in Jammu and Kashmir.
“People can easily approach their elected MLAs and Ministers and their issues are redressed. However, in the present situation, there is a feeling of helplessness among the people,” said Former Minister Manjit Singh.
The Apni Party Provincial President also appealed to the administration of Lt Governor to adopt a public friendly approach. On this occasion, many women joined the Apni Party including Geeta Khajuria, Sapna Sharma, Vipna Devi, Roma, Archana Sharma, Monica Sharma, Sugandha Sharma, Pallavi, Anjali, Premlata and others.
