Sopore resident killed in Punjab road mishap

Sopore, June 12 : In an unfortunate road mishap a Sopore resident lost his life in a road accident in Punjab’s Jalandhar city on Friday night.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a resident of Sopore identified as Abdul Hameed Shalla son of Mohammad Ramzan Shalla a driver by profession was on its way to Punjab when the truck in which he was traveling met with an accident near Jalandhar.

In the mishap he was critically injured and was rushed to nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

A family sources also confirmed this unfortunate road mishap to Kashmir Despatch and said the body is being carried to his home and is supposed to reach this afternoon.

Meanwhile, sources informed this newspaper that the deceased is cousin brother of a Sopore based Journalist Sameer Mushtaq.
