Speaker Nominates 3 MLAs as Panel Chairmen for Legislative Assembly

SRINAGAR, Nov 5: On the second day of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly session, Speaker Rahim Rather nominated three legislators as panel chairmen for the ongoing legislative assembly session.

According to the Kashmir Despatch team present in the session, the Speaker appointed Mubarak Gul (NC), Yousuf Tarigami (CPI-M), and Sujeet Singh Salathia as panel chairmen.

During the proceedings, Speaker Rather addressed concerns about decorum, stating, “Some members were seen doing videography. I request that you switch off your mobile phones. We must uphold the dignity and sanctity of the House.” This statement followed the obituary references made in the assembly.

The Speaker also emphasized the importance of adhering to assembly rules, warning that he would ensure compliance. “I request your cooperation. If any member does not comply, I will be forced to take action,” he added.
