Many prominent and young performers showcased their talent in homage to women’s power. In her presidential address, Dr. Andrabi stated that this was a golden period for Nari Shakti in India.
“From Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao mission to the emancipation and empowerment of women in all fields of life, it is the most favorable time for us to defeat the notion that women are incapable of contributing substantially to society and the country at large. Indian women are now practically in a commanding position in India,” said Dr. Andrabi.
She highlighted various government welfare schemes focused on women and how these initiatives have placed women at the forefront in every stream of life.
“Now, Indian women have ventured into unconventional fields and proved their worth too. We are confident that we are leading India into another golden age, as our women excel in all important spheres of life,” said Andrabi.
She thanked the college and other collaborating departments and organizations for celebrating women’s power through classical melodious tunes.
