Srinagar, June 11: Senior PDP leader and R&B minister Syed Altaf Bukhari reiteratedon Thursday that there must be no question of snatching the AIIMS away from valley and giving it to some other region of the state.
According to a local news agency KNS, Bukhari maintained that let the government of India sanctions AIIMS to each and every district of the state of Jammu and Kashmir bit not sanctioning one for the Kashmir valley will never be an acceptable entity. He maintained that it will be a positive and a welcome step if the government would sanction the vital institution like AIIMS to Jammu.
“We will welcome it. Let the GOI shows its generosity and allots one to each district of the state. No one is going to oppose it. We have only one thing to concentrate upon that Kashmir valley is in the need of the prestigious health institute like AIIMS and need of the hour is that it must be established in valley sans any delay,” Bukhari remarked, adding that like the two central universities were allotted to both Valley and Srinagar, if similar suits are followed with regards to AIIMS, no shall raise any query.
